We are unable to stop the CRD Perinatal Counselling Program from ending, at least not on our own. But we did write a 29 page paper.

This paper describes a unique community counselling program plus the limited service alternatives that are available to parents in the CRD. Also, it’s a think piece that advocates for options that can make perinatal mental health counselling widely or universally accessible.

Our paper documents the vital mental health supports that new and expecting parents are losing in our community. And it advocates for work to implement solutions that restores access and makes it sustainable.

The paper is called, Perinatal Service Scenarios: The Future of Perinatal Counselling for the CRD, Island Health, and BC.
