Jamie Sulek,
Perinatal Intern Counsellor
A former finance manager turned perinatal counsellor, Jamie brings unique lived experience and skill when supporting parents through pregnancy and beyond. As a mom and stepmom, and now intern counsellor, Jamie understands both the emotional complexities of growing a family and the practical strategies that help parents thrive.
When Perinatal Anxiety And Depression Steal The Joy Of Early Parenthood.
Panic attacks during pregnancy. Overwhelming sadness after birth. Intrusive thoughts that won’t stop. This isn’t typical baby blues — you’re experiencing debilitating perinatal anxiety or depression. You wonder: “Will I ever feel like myself again?”
These conditions affect 1 in 5 parents. You’re not alone in your experience, and treatment is available.

Professional Support and Personal Understanding.
Hello. I’m Jamie Sulek. After a decade as a CPA, I discovered my true calling wasn’t balancing books. It’s helping parents find emotional balance in the midst of some of the biggest changes in their life.
As a stepmom, mom, and now counselling intern, I understand the pressures of pregnancy, the adjustments after birth, and the constant demands when parenting kids. Having a past career in finance, I understand the impact of financial stress on emotional wellness and family relationships.
How We’ll Work Together
No parent’s journey is the same. When you work with me, here’s our simple path forward:
- Understand what you’re experiencing and your wellness goals
- Adopt practical tools and strategies tailored to your situation
- Implement with ongoing support and adjustments
Thrive As The Parent You’re Meant To Be.
Imagine waking up excited to spend time with your baby instead of dreading another difficult day. Picture making parenting decisions with confidence rather than constant second-guessing.
When anxiety no longer controls your thoughts and depression doesn’t steal your joy, you can:
Bond deeply with your baby without overwhelming fear
Sleep peacefully when your baby sleeps
Enjoy everyday moments instead of just surviving them
Feel like yourself again—the person your family fell in love with
Manage financial stress without it consuming your mental energy
This isn’t just about feeling “better.” It’s about becoming the calm, confident, present parent you always wanted to be.
When Mental Health Struggles Go Untreated
Without proper support, perinatal anxiety and depression typically intensify. What starts as manageable worry can become overwhelming panic. Postpartum sadness can deepen into depression that affects your entire family.
These precious early months with your baby pass quickly. Don’t let untreated mental health struggles steal this irreplaceable time from your family.
